Sustainability
The sustainability chapter has become an integral part of the policy and objectives of a company in the wood and construction industry.
Examples with which we can assist you are:
- Drafting/maintaining the manual
- Training your staff
- Guidance during the certification process
- Conducting internal audits
- Support during external audits for certification

You may wish to change your policy on your own initiative. It is also possible that your customers expect you to take clear steps towards a more sustainable society in the form of an ISO 14001 certification or perhaps a certificate related to CSR.
You may be dealing with certification systems that pursue responsible forest management such as FSC® and PEFC™ or with legislation that prescribes a minimum legal status of a wooden product such as the EUTR or that require large companies to report on sustainability, in the case of the CSRD ?
All the examples above have at least one thing in common. A company manual in which the objectives, guidelines and requirements of your company are expressed in procedures. Compiling such a manual, training your staff and preparing for possible certification takes time and doing so with expertise is very useful.
We have many years of experience in writing and reviewing manuals, both from a certification body’s point of view and from the point of view of a company seeking certification. This allows us to translate the conditions described in a certain standard as pragmatically as possible to your specific situation. The goal is always to change the existing company processes as little as possible, if there is no desire to do so, while still meeting the requirements.
